AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM IBCFPRS PRESIDENT, ROXANA COBO, M.D.
Dear IBCFPRS Diplomates,
Some of you may have heard recently of the intention of the EAFPS to begin their own certification examination in Europe. As this proposed examination has not yet occurred, the IBCFPRS cannot make any further comments about it. You should know, however, that the IBCFPRS and the EBCFPRS examinations are the only psychometrically validated examinations that exist that are available to specialists in the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
What is important for all IBCFPRS diplomates to know is that the IBCFPRS will continue to provide the opportunity for examination and certification in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery for International and European candidates.
Furthermore, the IBCFPRS will continue to represent and promote the best interests of our current and future diplomates.
For 11 years, the IBCFPRS has represented the gold standard in administering the facial plastic and reconstructive surgery examination and certification in our speciality around the world. We shall continue to do so, and you can continue to be proud of your well-deserved stature as a diplomate of the IBCFPRS.
